What the badges tell you

Mayl badges are for businesses with a current advert in the printed Maylands Mayl Magazine.
No printed advert means no Mayl badge.

Business Directory listings are still free. A business can stay listed whether it advertises with us or not.

The size of the printed advert decides the Mayl advertising level. Higher levels include more additional website exposure at no extra charge. The badges are advertising labels — not ratings, reviews or endorsements.

Your printed advert decides your Mayl level

There are four levels. Each higher level includes everything from the levels below it.

What does “rotation” mean? Eligible businesses take turns being displayed in shared advertising areas.

  • Your Directory card receives matching Mayl Supporter styling so current advertisers are easy to recognise.
  • Your business receives extra prominence when people browse relevant Business Directory results.

  • Your website advert will also be included in the advertising-card rotation on individual Article pages.

Level 4 of 4 · Highest level

Our highest advertising level

  • Everything included with Mayl Priority.
  • Your business receives our highest level of prominence within shared eligible website advertising positions.
  • As a Full Page print advertiser, your website advert will also be included in the premium Headliner rotation near the top of the homepage.
  • This also includes advertising-card rotation on individual Article pages.

Free listing or Mayl advertiser?

Every standard Business Directory listing is free. Businesses do not need to advertise with us to stay listed.

A Mayl badge simply identifies a business that currently advertises in the printed Maylands Mayl Magazine and receives the extra website exposure that comes with its advert size.

When the printed advertising ends, the badge and paid advertising extras disappear, but the Business Directory listing remains.

Extra Spotlight exposure

Spotlight is additional exposure for current print advertisers. It sits on top of the normal benefits of the Mayl badge and does not change the badge level.

New print advertisers receive one month in Spotlight when they begin advertising. While their print advertising remains active, they return to Spotlight for another month every three months.

Spotlight ends when the printed advertising ends.
