Mayland Music Festival.
What a day it was on Saturday 2nd July 2022. The Music Festival was amazing.
The day dawned bright but oh so breezy. The helpers gradually turned up having spent a lot of Friday putting the ground work together.
Saturday morning saw straw bales to sort, fencing to adjust and signage to go up but by midday we were ready to go. Gradually the crowds rolled in.
Wrist bands at the ready, picnics being carried and such an assortment of camping gear it looked like the crowd was going to stay for a week rather than just about 8 hours.
The stalls set up and we were ready to go. Linda Haywood on behalf of the Henry Samuel Hall Committee welcomed everyone and we were up and running.
The bands all turned up to play. All giving their time for a burger & a drink. So good of them. The music was varied ranging from 50s classics to music of today.
The audience sang, clapped, cheered and finally danced the day away.
Eventually the final act finished, the weather held and the crowd went home happy.
So a big thank you to everyone that turned up and to those that helped everyone to have a fab fun filled day.
The event has raised over a whopping £4000 for the Henry Samuel Hall refurbishment in Mayland.
