A local, big Country Show in its 15th year
The show warmly welcomes thousands of visitors from miles around. A show with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere surrounded by soft hedgerows and natures wildlife. In support of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
The wide range of attractions at the 2022 show includes the chance to watch Newfoundland Dogs do what they do best in the water saving humans in trouble, have a go at paddling a canoe around the lake, and be entertained by the ‘Tigers’ children’s motorcycle display team.
Skilled craftsmen and local producers come together at this popular event in the heart of the countryside to display and sell their creations. Explore the exhibits of potters, walking stick makers, sculptors, and bakers, artists and fabric crafters. There is flora and fauna, home and garden country gifts, handmade jewellery and nautical wares.
Foodies will be delighted with the range of local producers of savory and sweets delights from jams and chutneys, award winning cheeses and pies, luxury fudge, sausages and a variety of hot food to enjoy. In addition, you can pick up locally brewed and distilled, award winning and handcrafted tipples. There really is something for everyone.
There are fun activities for children too. Why not take them into a canoe for the first time? There are experienced staff and instructors on hand to help them navigate the beautiful lake. Meet a variety of four-legged farm friends. Take to the sky on a traditional Ferris Wheel. Adventurous youngsters can have-a-go at clay shooting or try using bow and arrow with professional Archers.
For those who enjoy nostalgia, a variety of classic cars and bikes will be on display to admire, and a collection of vintage and modern agricultural machinery showing how farming has moved through the ages.
