100th Anniversary of the Formation of the British Legion
The Burnham-on-Crouch Branch of the Royal British Legion is preparing for the 2021 Poppy Appeal which will start on Saturday 30th October and continue until Remembrance Sunday 14th November 2021. We are looking for volunteers to assist with Street and Store Collections in Burnham and surrounding Villages. On Saturday 25th September the Branch Stall will be present at Burnham Carnival [Covid Permitting] with Poppy items and information about the Royal British Legion. The ceremony at the War Memorial on 14th November will the centenary of the first Act of Remembrance which took place on 11th November 1921.
