May Issue of The Maylands Mayl

Maylands Mayl May EditionIn this Month’s Edition

Maylands Mayl front page this month shows a pair of Easter Bunny Girls showing off a tray of freshly baked hot cross buns. This picture is the lead into the article that covers the retirement of Paul Carden of The Golden Platter Bakery.
Also, we have another interesting article about The Blackwater Seals.

We have a photo sent to us by John Humphreys of Burnham asking if anyone recognises any of the people in the photo. The picture was taken at The Riverside Club in Maylandsea in the late 1950’s.
Discounts to watch out for again this month. There is 10% off Food at Holly’s Diner on Thursday Evenings. Also a 10% off Takeaways at Zara Indian in Mayland.
Remember there is an open day at Maylandsea Bay Sailing Club on 5th May – So if you have always wanted to try sailing… here is your chance. If you can’t get to that one, there is another chance at The Harlow and Blackwater Sailing Club, their open day is on the 2nd June, there will also be a boot Fair.
As usual, The What’s On Section has some more interesting places for you to try if you are looking for somewhere to go.

The Star Inn at Steeple on has some events on this month including LIVE MUSIC with MONKIES WEDDING and also THE JAM PROJECT (A Jam Tribute Band) ad for address details etc.
The Blackwater Bar and Bistro will be hosting The Blackwater Raft Race and Fun Day on 30th June this year – see their ad for more details.
